We believe the spaces we live in have a profound impact on our lives - for us, design is not about style or aesthetics; it is about how our homes can make life better and bring us joy.
We love working with ambitious clients who want to create something out of the ordinary and applying our design skills to help you realise the full potential of your home.
The cliché is true: transforming or building a home is a journey, and guiding clients through this process and, witnessing the positive changes their new homes will have on their lives is at the heart of what we do.
A successful project arises from a collective effort where a client, architect, and builder share a common goal. We bring a collaborative outlook to each project, welcoming input and ideas that help achieve the best result.
We are both ambitious and pragmatic; for us, a successful project is one that exceeds your expectations without exceeding your budget. We always strive to create a design that reflects your unique vision and enhances your living experience.
“The places we call home are simultaneously the backgrounds to our lives and active characters within them.”
“The Architecture of Happiness” Alain De Botton
Background
Following a move from the suburbs to live on a farm as a child I discovered a passion for exploring sheds and outbuildings and ‘borrowing’ old building materials to create dens and structures. Little did I know that this love of building and making spaces would continue and lead me to my work as an architect.
Many years of study later and after working with an emerging architecture practice from its foundation to its growth to become one of Scotland’s leading design studios I decided it was time to move away from large commercial projects and return to my passion for crafting beautiful spaces and working closely with like-minded and ambitious clients.
Whether you want to build a new home or extend and alter your current home, I believe it is about much more than getting the necessary consents and adding space. I am committed to the belief that good design enriches everyday life – a beautiful kitchen that catches the morning sun or a window seat in which to sit and read are the things that make a place special and make your home unique.
Since our formation in 2019, we have built a portfolio of award-winning projects. Although this recognition for our work is encouraging, our work is not about winning awards. Far more important to us is creating buildings that exceed our clients’ expectations and change the way they live for the better.
